How can I tell you need vehicle tracking?

Do you need vehicle tracking?
In my experience over the last 7 years I have come across all sorts of different people from different business areas and different locations across the country. They all had 1 thing in common though – they all wanted to save some time and money. Running a fleet is a time consuming, difficult job. Made more difficult by traffic, weather and tighter budgets.
Some people I meet are reluctant to change the process that they have always had, or are not interested in streamlining their working day with a software solution. Until I show them exactly how a telematics solution can help them.
Do you think that you can carry on using the same processes that you have always used? Are you sure that a software solution will not make your job easier? Well read on and see how I know that you need vehicle tracking.
You need vehicle tracking if:
1 – you are manually updating spreadsheets to manage your vehicles and loads on a daily basis
It continues to surprise me how many small businesses are run on excel. Even more so how many fleets are run this way. There are huge ways that you can save time and money with a proper vehicle tracking system which will take away some of your tedious fleet management for you.
2 – you need to be aware of your fleet outside of normal working hours
It is not practical to be ringing your drivers every 20 minutes to see where they are. A vehicle tracking solution installed throughout your fleet will allow you to see where your vehicles are and what they are currently doing at the click of a button.
You can also review the history of the vehicle on your desktop, laptop, tablet or smartphone without the need for downloading extra apps or more software, no matter what brand you are loyal to.
If you think that you need vehicle tracking and you would like a demo of how this works, just leave us your details and we will arrange the rest.
3 – You need to action problems as soon as they arise
In business, when a problem appears, it does not necessarily mean that it has just happened at that point. Lots of little factors could have been contributing to that problem for a while. You need to ensure that your team are on top of any maintenance issues, and with a fully functioning fleet management system they can be ahead of any MOTs or services that need to be booked.
They can also make full use of the driver behaviour aspect of the system. Knowing how your drivers are driving, and feeding back to them will improve your fuel consumption, and the length of time your tyres are road worthy. You need vehicle tracking to make your business more efficient and profitable.
