Have a complete fleet policy

Do a driving license check
Make sure you check your employees driving license, do an annual check and keep the details safe. Ask them to declare any penalty points that they have received since your last check.
Store data securely
Make sure that when you have collected all the data you keep it stored safely and securely. You have personal details and have a duty of care to keep them safe and away from people who shouldn’t have access to them.
Update your records frequently
Making sure that your driver safety checks are carried out regularly will mean that you are less likely to miss something important that you need to know about. Has your drivers health changed? Do they now need glasses? All things that you should know because they are responsible for one of your company vehicles.
