Meet Edgar – our social media friend

Earlier on this year we were taking back control of our business social media campaign – we wanted to be able to raise awareness of our brand and our product. We wanted to connect with people out there is the land of social media and we wanted to do this ourselves.
Great – you all want to do this too right?
Do you find that suddenly all day everyday your life has been taken over by Facebook updates? Is every conversation a potential tweet? Are you trying to make time to keep your profile on Linked IN updated? Are you looking around your office for things that you can Instragram? Are you wondering what you can blog about next?
The same thing was happening here, I was so engrossed in social media that everything else was left to slide a little.
Then I got an email; Are you still writing and scheduling new social media updates all the time? Today, tomorrow, and every day henceforth for all eternity?
(Because you don’t have to, you know. The technology has moved past that sort of lifestyle.)
You see, Edgar can remember the very best of your updates and use them as part of a sophisticated social posting schedule. Those working with him have already reported that he’s eliminating hours of busy work on a weekly basis – now, doesn’t that sound lovely?
OK I thought. Who was Edgar and how did I meet him?
I asked around a few of our business friends and found that they already knew about Edgar, and he was already helping them with their social media.
Here’s how it works;
1 – you write your social media update, as you normally would, but you upload it to Edgar and choose which category it should go in.
2 – Edgar posts your updates according to your category based schedule.
3 – The updates get stored in your online library. When every other update in that category has been posted then Edgar will post the first one again. This way it can be seen by a whole new audience while you carry on with your day job.
Easy as that! So we signed up for our trial and once we started we couldn’t stop.
We get a weekly email from Edgar with a round up of our activity – he helps with our business facebook page, my personal facebook page, our twitter account, our Linked IN company page and saves me more time than I thought possible.
Not only that, we get tips and hits on how to use social media better and what new features are being released. I would recommend this system to you, we saved a whole day one week by not having to research and find new content to post and then posting it 3 times on 3 separate platforms.
