Ensuring the safety of your vehicles and the security of your remote workforce is crucial, and GPS tracking offers an ideal solution for both.

Compact and Versatile GPS Trackers

Modern GPS trackers are incredibly compact, making them easy to install and conceal on virtually any vehicle, including cars, trucks, trailers, and machinery. This versatility allows you to track a wide range of assets, both fixed and mobile.

Choosing the Right GPS Tracker

With various types of GPS trackers available, selecting the appropriate one for your vehicles and assets is key to meeting your information needs effectively.

How Does a GPS Tracker Work?

In Simple Terms: A GPS tracker receives location data from satellites and transmits this information via a telecommunications network to a server. This data is stored and can be accessed anytime from a smartphone or computer.

The Technical Details: GPS trackers receive location data from over 3,370 active satellites orbiting the Earth. Our Satmo GPS trackers can analyze signals from up to 66 satellites at once, assessing location and signal strength. The processor then selects the eight strongest signals to determine an accurate location, typically within a few meters.

Trackers come equipped with a SIM card or SIM chip, enabling communication via 4G or 3G cellular networks. Once the GPS location is confirmed, the tracker sends this data over the cellular network, which is then uploaded and stored on our secure servers. Users can instantly access this information through the Satmo App or Portal.

In situations where cellular connectivity is unavailable or weak, the tracker stores location data and other essential information in its internal memory (up to 96,000 locations). This data is transmitted once a secure connection is re-established.

Cutting-Edge GPS Tracking Technology

Advancements in GPS tracking technology have greatly enhanced the speed and detail of the information available to users. However, not all providers offer the same level of service. Many consider a delay of 1 to 5 minutes acceptable for updating information, often charging up to £50 per vehicle per month for this service. At Satmo Vehicle Tracking, we believe otherwise.

Satmo Vehicle Tracking Solution

We have developed sophisticated device handling computations that allow us to provide updated information from a connected device up to every 5 seconds. This rapid update interval is something even the largest providers haven’t achieved, and we offer it at a fraction of the cost.
