Vehicle tracking prices – why so secret?

Looking for vehicle tracking prices can be a minefield.
Vehicle tracking websites like to be all secretive and they all seem to include different features. So, how do you know which is best for you? There are lots of vehicle tracking companies out there for you to choose from. Almost all of these companies have different structures for their vehicle tracking prices.
If you are looking to install vehicle tracking into your fleet it will probably be worth asking your prospective suppliers these questions;
Is everything included in my monthly payment quoted? Make sure that the payment quoted includes your data, rental payment, support and warranty. You don’t want to be 2 months into a contract and find yourself hit with a big bill for extra data.
Do they charge for installation? Is the installation fee separate to or included in your monthly payment?
Is there a training plan? Does the company you are looking to partner with offer a training plan? Will it cost you? Is the training ongoing for changes while you are in your contract?
Will your software be updated throughout the contract? Technological changes happening as often as they do mean your software can be updated throughout the term, but will it be? And if so, will there be an extra charge for this?
How long is your data stored? Do you have access to historical data if you need it? In addition, is your data access free?
How many users can you have? Are you restricted on the number of people who can log into the system? Will you need to pay more due to extra user logins?
Is there an upfront cost for the hardware? Are you having to pay upfront and monthly? You must check what payments are expected when.
Are all of the features on the demo included? Some of the features that you have seen might not be included in the price that you have been quoted? Why is that? Because some plans are different it is worth checking what you are getting.
Is there an app on iTunes or the play store? Can you access an app and furthermore is it free?
